One RINO Down, Two to Go

With the announcement last week that Senator Arlen Specter will become a Democrat, that eliminates one of the gang of three RINOs, from the U.S. Senate, that voted for the ‘Stimulus Bill’ in February. The two from Maine say they are staying with the Republican Party, but then, so did Specter just weeks before he switched.

My son in Pennsylvania tells me that if the election were held today, Senator Specter might have a rough time beating former Congressman Pat Toomey, who was polling over 20 points ahead of Specter for the Republican Senate primary in 2010, before the switch.

In the long run, Specter’s $7 million dollar war chest, along with a Democrat Governor, the Democrat establishment and the DNC-MSM media’s support, could prove insurmountable. But for now, that narcissistic RINO is out of the Republican Party and now the Democrats get to try to figure out what side he will come down on for every issue that comes along. Does Specter’s switch, due to his trailing in polling, signify that Republicans are beginning to see the early stages of a RINO purge? Good riddance A. ‘Sphincter.’
